This is a unique Teacup, which is a combination of the artisan's audacity with calculated subtlety. It is sustained with grounded traditional techniques of the artisan’s original design. The combinations create modern feeling of WABI SABI atmosphere, and make viewers feel the artisan's skill, consideration, and passion.

ORIBE is a green color used in traditional pottery. MENTORI describes the surfaces created by carving away the clay. The traditional green color glaze, ORIBE green, is named after historical tea master, Oribe Furuta.

The form is quite unique. The lower body is narrow, and gradually turns wide toward the rim. The base is shaped subtly. And the glaze dripping on the low side toward the bottom is quite unique and fascinates viewers. The rim and inside are carefully and patiently polished with tanned deer hide in order to have a smooth feel in drinking green tea.
