Traditional Kyo Yaki (Kyoto Style)
Made by Seisen Kondoh at Seisen Kiln
Japanese traditional and popular flowers are decorated on this natural and simple texture Yunomi teacup. Flower stamps colored in white bloom on the natural clay earthenware. The flared shape accents the flowers and the Yunomi itself.
HORI of this name means carving and INKA means stamped flower in Japanese. INKA flower stamps, which are colored in white, are decorated outside the cup, and these stamps gradually expand from the vase to the rim, as if the flowers grow and bloom in a lively manner. Different kinds of flowers are stamped and these flowers are well harmonized on this Yunomi cup.
KOBIKI, which is the glaze made from white clay, is coated on the HORI INKA teacup. The same white color of the KOBIKI glaze and flower patterns are well reflected on the black base earthenware.
The form of this Yunomi is flared open toward the rim. The sturdy form on the bottom gives an impression of strength, but the curved line toward the rim reminds us of geniality.
Different types of flowers are stamped toward the rim in a lively manner, and also add to the graceful atmosphere. To consider the quality of this work, it is available at a reasonable price. We are sure that you will enjoy drinking Japanese tea in this elaborate cup.
