This Yunomi is simple yet expresses the beauty of flowers, which the people of Japan have cherished since ancient times. In contrast to the profound feeling of the surface, the paintings on the surface are delicate and elegant. This contrast is a charm of this teacup.

SHIKI of this name means four seasons and SOUKA means plant and flower in Japanese. This Yunomi features paintings of wild flowers in four seasons, a motif cherished by tea masters for generations.

In contrast to the profound feeling of the surface, the paintings on the surface are delicate and elegant. This contrast is a charm of this teacup. The curve from the rim to the base is not only beautiful, but also lovely to hold in your hands. The lower body is scraped randomly, and fits with the fingertips, feeling as if we are brushing the flowers and fruits drawn on the surface.

On the other hand, the somewhat rough surface is painted beautiful Japanese flowers. Three colors of flowers, which are pink, blue and purple, bloom outside the teacup in a lovely manner. The pink of the cherry blossoms, the blue of the hydrangea and the purple of grapes are all painted in shades, creating a very elegant contrast. Part of each flower is bordered with gold, giving it an accent. Thus, at first glance, it appears simple, but it is a carefully crafted masterpiece.

GOHONDE, which are colorful patches of orange, also add warmth to the teacup. It is impossible to fully control the contrasting density of GOHONDE, so that GOHONDE is a little different in each work.

The green or yellow color of Japanese green tea will enliven this teacup even more, once the tea is poured into the cup. We are certain that this Yunomi will enrich your tea time.

Specially packaged in a carton box.
Lead-free. Made in Japan.
(Please note that the glaze pattern is a little different in each work because of the features of the glaze.)
