I’ve been enjoying this Hohin set for a while now. When I first got it I had to learn to use it. Hold it in one hand, press down on the lid, and pour. Pouring from a Hohin is a little tricky, since the design encourages a fast flow, so trying to pour slowly is a challenge that sometimes results in a bit of a dribble (or dripping). I do not fault this on the design or craftsmanship, it’s just the way it is with Hohins. This is a really beautiful and well-crafted Hohin set. Almost every inch, top to bottom, of every piece is covered with some kind of detailed art (but not in excess, there is still white space). Tea from the hohin is absolutely sweet and delectable. There is enough for one person (or two) to enjoy. The little cups are well balanced and feel good in the hand as well as against the lips. I took a picture of one of the cups next to one of the pine needle cups for scale. The cups are small but not too small. The water cooler serves its function. This is a perfectly matching set that is beautifully made and I find it very relaxing to look at the different scenes on each piece. I am more than pleased with it. |
