Brief (few seconds) steeps in 70 celsius water. Liquor is a slight opaqued pale green in look. Taste is sweet with a soft umami, with a fruity scent. No astringency nor bitterness. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky and dry, encouraging salivation. Wet leaves are mostly pale green stems, with specs of freshly green leaves here and there. They give off an aroma that resemble steamed fruit with spices. Flavor starts to mellow down by the 4th steep, with a hint of spiced vegetal note. A longer steep in the next infusion still has no bitterness. This is an easy to drink tea and could be a refreshing one if made into a cold brew. |
