Review | The tea arrived in a beautiful gold package with silver flecks, delicate strands of white, black lettering, and a red seal giving it a rice paper design. I sometimes have to use images to describe experiences because I can't find adequate words to describe the beauty of it. The tea is light in color, and sits on the tongue like satin. It has a rounded mellow taste with the beauty of a single cream colored pearl that you might bring out of a tiny box every once in a while to look at for aesthetic pleasure. Like gazing at the pearl, the flavor of the tea lingers when held in the mouth. It isn't an illusive flavor that disappears too quickly. Capturing the right flavor takes careful timing. I sipped it at different stages of brewing. I preferred the very light flavor because it was so delicate and yet flavorful. I left the pot with one serving left while I enjoyed the first cup and when I poured it again, it was medium green and too strong. I poured that out and added new hot water and had a serving of tea when it was very light green. That was fine. But that first very pale colored tea that I made was really special. |
