After watching a video online of how these Kawara Senbei are made I have great appreciation for these Japanese roof tile crackers. First, they are made beautifully with the different stamps. The tile shape is unusual. The crispy texture is unlike any other cookie or cra...(more)

These Organic Sencha teabags check all the boxes for me: they are easy to use (the steeping time is one minute), spacious to let the tea leaves swim, organic and flavorful. The brew is crystal clear and clean. The taste is...good sencha! This is an easy tea to consume a...(more)

These rice cakes are quite gooey. They are wrapped individually in a pretty tin, although I found them a little difficult to peel from the waxy paper. Still, they are delicately delicious. I felt as though I had a cloud melting on my tongue. A cup of Hibiki-An tea will ...(more)

These dried UME plums explode with a very concentrated flavor. They are a little bit salty and a lot fruity. I think they will be perfect with a cup of hot tea. I also think they would be nice on a Japanese snack tray...with Hibiki-An tea. I will purchase these again.

These Ebi Senbei are quite different from the shrimp crackers you might find on the shelves of a Japanese market in the U.S. The bite is a little more like a cracker and the flavor is very shrimp-y. The color is beautiful -- as in the photo -- and there is a little drie...(more)

This traditional Japanese cracker package is great fun to eat! Each cracker has a distinct flavor, color, shape, texture and mouthfeel. Some are sweet while others are savory; each is delicious! Some melt on your tongue while others are crunchy. They are addictive and i...(more)

These dried persimmons are a perfect snack and accompaniment to a hot cup or three of Hibiki-an green tea. They are not sticky sweet, but sweet enough to be special. When I buy them in the Japanese supermarkets, they are not consistent in quality; each of these bites is...(more)

This is a fine organic matcha! The color is brightly luminescent. As the Hibiki-an description notes about this matcha, it is quite deep in flavor and smooth on the tongue. There is no bitterness at the sip or in the linger! This matcha was gifted to me by my tea ...(more)

I received this Lefty HOHRYU Kyusu as a gift from my tea friend, Karen. She sent it to me sight-unseen. Her taste is exquisite and this lovely teapot would have "WOW'd" her if she had seen it and handled it. There are so many things I adore about this kyusu...(more)

The MATSUBA Yunomi are beautiful! Since they are offered by Hibiki-an, I expected them to be quite nice. They are even more beautiful than I had imagined from the photo on their website. They are delicate, elegant and fine in the hand; I like the colors and the desig...(more)

I am on the West Coast, but my tea friend, Karen, on the East Coast directed me to Hibiki-an more than a year ago. She finds the best purveyors and has exquisite taste in fine teas. I have been a Hibiki-an customer ever since my first order. I am proud to be a retur...(more)
