SENSUJI means thousand lines in Japanese. Circle lines are elaborately carved on this Kyusu. Making circle lines requires great skill, and these lines created by the experienced craftsman are supremely beautiful. This subdued and simple dark brown color conveys a calm and modern atmosphere. To consider the quality of this work, it is available at a reasonable price.

This Kyusu has a ceramic fine mesh filter, not removable mesh filter basket. Many ceramic Kyusu have a small mesh filter basket, so unfortunately the tea leaves can't fully open and therefore the flavor of the brewed tea will be weak. In many cases, ceramic mesh is not fine but rough like Dobin, which is not suitable for brewing Sencha Fukamushi and Konacha. However, ceramic mesh of this Kyusu is fine, so that you can brew all kinds of Japanese tea, including Sencha Fukamushi and Konacha. (In the unlikely event that you would like to filter out the small specks of Sencha Fukamushi or Konacha, we recommend you use a tea strainer.)

- It is best to wash this item using only tepid water or mild chlorine-free dish washing detergent.
- If necessary, you may occasionally use a chlorine detergent. In that case, after using the chlorine detergent, we recommend you boil this item in water to remove the chlorine smell.
- When turning the Kyusu to pour tea, you must hold the lid in place with your finger, otherwise the lid could fall off the pot and possibly get damaged. This is the usual way to pour tea with a Kyusu.
- A clear plastic guard is placed over the tip of the Kyusu spout to protect the spout from breakage during transport. Before use, please remove the plastic guard.
