Review This is an absolutely beautiful matcha bowl that coordinates very well with Hana Mishima (also by Tohrako Morisato). At first I didn’t think this bowl would be ‘different enough’ to add to my collection, but I was wrong. As you can see, compared to Hana Mishima, the two are similar, yet different. It is a BEAUTIFUL light purple color with warm creamy toned flowers and Hakeme brush strokes on the inside. The edge is also finished with the flower stamping. It is also a very subtle tulip shape, just slightly narrower at the base and widening a little at the top. It is very easy to whisk a foamy bowl of matcha and because of the Hakeme glaze all of the matcha just slides right out without any being left at the bottom. I also noticed that this glaze has little holes in it so I expect the glaze to change over time as it holds matcha, getting more of a unique and wabi sabi look. This matcha bowl is absolutely stunning!
