Even as a big green tea drinker, I somehow never got a chance to try Sencha Pinnacle. Well, I finally tried it last week, and it is simply superb, the best Sencha I ever tasted. When I tasted this, I realized how much I am missing, even in a large number of other good quality Sencha types that I have been drinking. One note: this tea is perhaps a bit expensive, and requires careful brewing (temperature) to be fully enjoyed. It is also so good that it is the kind of tea for a special, quiet moment, not to be rushed. You have to sit and take the time to enjoy every drop. This makes it a perfect tea to drink for a calm moment or at the end of a hectic day. One thing is for sure: you will never, ever find such a good quality tea anywhere here in the West, (that probably applies to other Japanese teas as well) not even from the top suppliers. The extreme freshness is obviously a very important part of the flavor in Sencha Pinnacle- and getting it from the source is important for a tea like this. Theodore |
