For a house matcha, and especially at this price, this is tough to beat. It's better than many "higher" grade matchas I've had. BUT, if you can afford a few extra dollars, the Matcha Superior is actually noticeably better. With the House Matcha, while it's not bitter, you don't get quite the same creaminess or chocolate notes that you do with the Superior. Overall, I'm happy I tried this. If I had started here, I would probably be content to make it my daily matcha. But I've been spoiled on the Matcha Superior as my introduction to Hibiki-an matcha. I'd better not try the Premium... |
