Review I started drinking Houjicha several years ago. I wanted a mild black tea for the morning, but this was presented to me and I tried decided to try this beautiful tea. To my surprise, it was just what I needed. It was beautifully mild, with a mild sweet taste and a good roasted flavor. Most mild-brewed teas lose their flavor, but this was very nice and calming. Always fresh, you do not have to worry about consuming stale tea leaves like store-bought. If you are looking for a good morning or nighttime tea, this is the one. No caffeine to keep you awake or make you nervous. It is worth trying and you will not be disappointed.
