Review This was my first time trying Hibiki-An's competition matcha and it did not disappoint. The scent of the matcha is hard to describe but pleasantly different. The powder is deep green. The flavor is full and sweet with no bitterness whatsoever. The flavor lingers for a short while after swallowing. It was very easy to whisk up a lot of foam. I like my matcha strong (but still as Usucha). I don't think there is any way to make this matcha come out bitter. I'll have to try it as Usucha. I'm sure it will be great that way as well.

Drinking this type of tea is a special treat. One can almost sense the huge efforts that brought forth such a beautiful quality matcha with each sip. It was quite the experience!
